The Big One

Warning: This post will probably be super sappy.

In a few hours Little Bit will turn one. You hear it from everyone with kids about how fast the first year goes by. And after having spent the most incredible year of my life with the most amazing little person I have ever had the opportunity to know, I feel as though I can attest to the fact that in the blink of an eye a year will come and go. I never knew that each day out of 365 could be so different. Some days were clam and awe inspiring. Some days were chaotic and discouraging. But everyday was wonderful in its own way. It's truly amazing the changes that take place over a year. One minute you are wishing she'd learn how to roll over and the next you are watching her take her first steps. So on one had I'm a little sad that my pipsqueak is growing up so fast. But on the other hand I can't WAIT to see what she has in store for us. So without further adu, here's a montage of Sophia's first year.

And here's another warning: It's about 10 mintues long, sorry but you just can't squeeze 12 months into a 5 minute video. And I'm planning on showing it at her party on Saturday so some of you guys might get a double dose of Sophie B.

Kimberly, we will never be able to thank you and Steven enough for giving us the joy of being grandparents. Sophie B has brought so much joy into our lives. Every day we get to spend with her is a gift that we treasure. She is truly a blessing. Love you

Hey there, I think I found your sight off of Janice's sight. Anyway, I love the video you put together. My baby turns one on the 29th of this month. We've thought about a video as well. Well, I just loved the post because I can relate in every shape and form. It's hard to imagine this much love that you have for one child, multiplying for more children in the future, huh? Anyway, I'll be back to visit your sight. Can't wait to here how the big first birthday goes. Right now, I am nervous about feeding my babe sugar, my hubby wants me to make cake, frosting the whole works. :)

Kim, this post was written beautifully! You will be amazed how fast every year goes - Cameron will turn 2 in June and it seems like it was just yesterday that I had give birth to him. I am trying to enjoy every day (even when there are days that I want to pull my hair out) as much as I can because they will be all grown up before you know it.

BTW, I LOVE the song on your montage "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" - who sings it?

You really have no idea how fast time flies until you have kids. Travis will soon be 13! It seems like yesterday he was Sophie's size. I told you when you were pregnant that having a baby would completely make you a different person. It's the greatest thing ever!! Happy Birthday Sophie!!

Aw Kim...... you did a fabulous job with the montage! It's an unbelievable feeling, isn't it? It's like one day, we're eating chicken wings off of our inflated tummies then next thing you know they're 1!

Happy Birthday little Miss Sophie!

Ps. Janice: The song is by Israel Kamakawiwo Ole (he's Hawaiian). I LOVE that song, we used it on our wedding montage too :)

Kim,
Janice sent me over to take a look at your video. Beautifully done and very nice post. You did a great job putting 12 months into a 10 minute video, my husband and I did a video for our daughter's first birthday last year and it was MUCH longer than 10 minutes. We just couldn't figure out what to cut out. Anyway, thanks for sharing. I will be back to look at pictures from her party. Happy Birthday Sophie!
