Culinary Catastrophe

I recently heard that Rachael Ray catered and hosted the Senior Prom at Enterprise High School in Alabama, which is the school that was devastated by the tornado. I have to admit that helping out the school like that was awesome but I'm just not a fan of Rachael Ray. Every time you turn on the food network you are GUARANTEED to see that woman within 5 minutes. She annoys me with her cute little terms like EVOO and the stupid names that she gives recipes such as"Why-the-chicken-crossed-the-Road-SantaFe-Tastic-Tortilla-Soup"and "Crab and Corn Chowda-Mac." I'm sorry but both of those sound disgusting (granted I'm no Iron Chef). So what I didn't know is that Rachael Ray also catered Sophia's Spring Party at day care.

Have you ever seen such a disgusting mix of food in your life?!? Gracie's mom sent me this photo and I almost gagged when I saw this smorgasbord o'crap. Cupcakes and cheese puffs mixed together!!!! NASTY!!! I swear this looks like something that Rachael would whip up and call it "Cupcake Surprise." But it looks as though Sophia enjoyed the heck out of it!

At least Sophie's food is all separated! Gracie had already inhaled most of hers and it was all mixed together...yummy! Gracie may have taken her time climbing over the barriers when Sophie dove right over but when it comes to eating the junk Gracie is the one that dives in and doesn't look back! They were all hugs and kisses when I picked up Grace today! They are so funny!!!!!

looks like they use an extra big bib, and from that plate I think they need it. I'll have to keep that in mind the next time she is eating mac and cheese or pizza with her fingers.
love ya

I wish I could pretend not to have eaten cheese curls and cupcakes/cake at parties, but I cannot do it. I love the amount of icing on Sophie's cup though. As long as she enjoyed it, that's all that counts.

Cupcakes and cheesepuffs, mmmm, a great staple in all daycare/pre-school parties. I used to teach pre-school and the parents always seemed to bring them all the time. Sophie looked like she was really enjoying it.

As for Rachel Ray, doesn't it annoy you even more when she says "EVOO" and then follow with, "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" right after? Why even bother saying the letters?! That's what really annoys me.

Well doesn't that plate look yummy! I have a small, but still slightly sick obsession with Rachael Ray, i am not sure why, but i love her, but i like her day tme talk show not her food network stuff.
Oh and yeah the laugh and learn puppy is Possessed, last night it just started barking, it scared Savannah to death!

I have a photo with a certain someone's head literally inside the bag of cheetos, so I think Sopie gets her love of the puffy orange things from her momma. I agree, cupcakes and cheespuffs are a staple of any daycare! Besides I think if all of us adults were a little honest we would admit that it would be nice to make a meal out of cupcakes and cheetos every now and then instead of Lean Cuisine and Salad!!

That lunch looks HORRID! I know Jonathan would have loved it, too, but YUCK!

I admit, I was irritated by Rachael Ray for a while, but some of her recipes are YUM-O (I'm sorry, I had to do it!). I do share the annoyance with EVOO, though--seriously, we get it!
