The Poop Bandit

This girl....

is a piece.of.work.

A few weeks ago the three of us took a walk to visit with some neighbors. While we were there Soph and I ended up in the house so the mom (they have a 10 year old) could show me something. And I'm not kidding, before I knew what was happening, Little Bit was taking off up their steps announcing that she had to "POOP REALLY BAD." I wanted to die of embarrassment. Of course the mom didn't care, when you've gotta go, you've gotta go but I was mortified. So I went to the bathroom with her and told her to "HURRY IT UP!"

She quickly finish and outside we went. I wanted to get away from there as soon as possible considering the fact that my 3 year old had stunk up their bathroom! Well apparently I didn't let her finish her business because not 2 seconds after walking outside she announces to everyone, "I really need to POOP again, I didn't get finished!" Nice.

Fast forward to Saturday evening. We went on a walk to visit with our other neighbors, the one who happens to be my old high school friend. Sophie and her boys are running around having a blast when all of the sudden she comes into the kitchen and announces to all of us, "hey momma, I've really gotta poop!"

What the heck!!! I'm afraid to go visit with other neighbors because she might want to break in their toilets too! What am I going to do with this wild and crazy girl of ours?

Ten On Tuesday

1. We've been flying solo this week. Steven is in St. Louis. What was suppose to be a 24 hour trip has turned into 3 days! Sophie B. is missing her daddy like crazy. I'm missing him too.  I'm not sure how much he's missing us though, he's sitting at a Cardinal's game at the moment!

2. Wild woman is going to try out Karate next Monday. Apparently karate is good for kids who could use some discipline. Yeah, that's Soph. Plus, she may be little but I want her to be able to unleash the furry on anyone who f's with her. Just keeping it real people.

3. I sold my first ebay item! I listed Sophie's Indian costume from last Halloween. A bidding war broke out over it in the last few minutes so I ended up making $30! I'm tempted to cruise around my house and start selling stuff!

4. And speaking of Halloween, it's right around the corner! Sophie has said for months that she wants to be a witch with a crooked hat. Um yeah.

5. Mama is now working 8:00-4:00 instead of 8:30-4:30. This tiny little 1/2 hour is going to change my life. No more crazy traffic at 4:30. Not to mention the fact that I had been getting to work at 8 for over a year anyway!

6. I'm watching America's Got Talent. Is Mariah Carey seriously married to this Nick Cannon dude? WTH?

7. One more week and my little cousin gets hitched! The Carr family is going to be big pimpin'. Soph will be sporting a black and white polka dot number. I'll be rockin' a dress from my latest obsession, Boden. If you want to feel like you are the size of a house, order clothes from Boden. Their sizes are English. So yeah, I'm a GIANT.

8.  Reggie is possessed by the Devil. Seriously, that cat bites. He bites hard and he bites often.

9. Some new neighbors offered to give us a brand new giant dog kennel for our garage because they knew that eventually we would get another puppy. We want to do something nice for them because they are refusing to take any money and I haven't a clue what to do! Any thoughts? I hate to get them gift cards or dinner gift certificates b/c that has price on it. Know what I mean.

10. And maybe, just maybe, this little girl will be chilling out in that kennel:

I posted her pic on facebook so some of you have already witnessed the cuteness that is Stella. Long story short, Steven's aunt knows someone who's boxer just had a puppy. That's it. One puppy. Don't those eyes say "TAKE ME HOME." But we weren't planning on filling that empty space in our hearts this soon.  Then again, maybe she's just what we need.

VBS

True Story: When I was around 7 I went to Vacation Bible School at a church in our small town. It's no secret that sometimes a bunch of kids at church can be the meanest rottenest kids on the planet. During that week of learning songs, eating snacks,  making crafts, and praising Jesus, our class made the teacher cry because we refused to listen. AND while playing hide and seek in the church yard, we broke a gazing ball, one of these:

and then lied like it was our job and didn't feel guilty about it for a second. Nice.

So thankfully, this past week, when Little Bit went to the "Avalanche Ranch VBS" at Emma and Ethan's church they were all well behaved little angles and loved every minute of it. But as I glanced at the pew behind me, where the elementary kids were sitting (ages 7-10) I could see and hear the terror being unleashed behind me. So I feel a little better that it wasn't just me and my sociopath friends in 1985 wrecking havoc in the church, it's the age. :)

So it was a Western Theme. Yee-Haw!

With lots of yummy snacks!

Making new friends.

And games.

And songs. Dear lord, I had forgotten about the songs. The catchy little numbers that you only learn at vacation bible school. At the end, we got a CD of the music to take home with us, which we have now listened to 93,434 times. In the car, at dinner, out in the driveway. Which is hilarious because we are not ones to be out side praising Jesus from the mountain tops. Yet, here we are every day singing about god while at the same time telling our three year old that "damn it" isn't the best thing to say when you are ticked off.  I like to think we live a well rounded balanced life.

Pampered

Word on the street is that Gracie and Sophie have been arguing at school like teenagers, all day, and everyday. Stephanie and I like to call it "sisterly love." So today we decided to have a girls day and get pedicures, manicures and lunch at McDonald's.  The strange thing is that they get a long perfectly outside of school. Must be daycare drama that brings out their petty sides!

Well it just happened that the other day I drove by a nail place and saw that they had little kid pedicure chairs! Freakin' adorable.

Pedicure and manicure for a 3 year old- $25
Lunch at McDonald's- $6
Spending the day as a diva with your best friend- Priceless
Mothers that will pay $25 for said manicures and pedicures- Suckers

1,2,3 a Carney Life for Me!

Spoken by my husband upon exiting the "tilt-a-whirl": "it's quite possible that the fella running that thing has killed someone."

Man talk about a rough life. I can NOT imagine working for a carnival. I think it would have to be one of the circles of hell. Moving from one Podunk  town to the next, living out of a camper, the heat, the kids, and the occasional vomit clean up. Yeah, sounds like 3rd circle to me. But I can't help it, I love carnivals!  Even if they do bring out every toothless person in town. Little Bit loves them too.

10 On Tuesday

Here's 10 on Tuesday mixed in with some slip-n-slide pics.

1. So my child ran away from home today. I "thought" she was in the garage riding her bike while I was cooking dinner. Turns out she can unlock a dead bolt. I caught her 3 houses down. I've never wanted to beat her so bad in my life! Instead I yelled the entire way back down to our house about how she could have gotten hit or abducted by Mexicans.

2.  HA! Just overheard from upstairs while Steven is putting Little Bit to bed, "why is your hair all gone?" Boy that's gotta make him feel great!

3.  I'm getting the urge to start painting rooms in our house! The problem is that I can never commit to a color. So I'm thinking I want to start small with the laundry room. I'm thinking green.

4. My mom and stepdad is at the beach right now, and will be there for 2 WEEKS! Right now, I hate them.

5. So new houses are being built in our neighborhood like crazy. We had been hearing rumors that a house at the end of the street had been built by a family with 3 little boys and that it would be ready in August. Well turns out that one of my really good friends from high school will be moving into it! We had lost touch over the years. Seriously, I could not have been more excited to find out that they will be moving in in a few weeks!

6. Our plantation shutters finally came in. They are are up, and they look fan-tab-u-lous!

7. I've gotta kick this Mt. Dew habit that I've been on for the past 2 months. Every summer it seems as though I get on a drink kick. Last year it was Mickey D's sweet tea.

8. On Sunday I took some photos of my friend Katie's little girl, Jordan, and they turned out really cute. I'm not sure I'm allowed to post them though because Katie is going to be using one for her birthday invitations.

9. All of the stores around here are starting to put  WVU football gear out. I snatched Sophie up a WVU jersey today b/c those things go like hot cakes. I can't believe that summer is over 1/2 way over and football season is right around the corner!

10. So I've gotta figure out what to do with Reggie and his litter box. He.Makes.A.Mess! Our laundry room is like walking in a sand pit because he drags litter out of his litter box. What in the heck am I suppose to do to make it stop!! Anyone have a cat and have any advice?

Play Ball

Unbeknownst to me, Steven grabbed my camera for a few minutes over the weekend. So I cracked up when these pics downloaded onto my computer. Sophia has never, ever, in her 3 years of life played baseball. But in true "know-it-all" fashion she decided to take it upon herself to teach a four year old little boy how to play tee-ball.

Tee-ing it up!

"And you want to hit it over that way."

Outta here!

So the funniest part of this little exchange was Steven telling her to move out of the way so "he" wouldn't hit her with the bat. Sophie's reply. "no no no daddy, HE is a little girl." Um yeah. Guess she hasn't been around a little boy with longer hair. Bwhaahaha!
