Why o why...

...DOES SOMETHING HAPPEN EVERY GD TIME WE HEAD TO THE BEACH? Yeah, this year, day numero UNO, Little Bit gets pink eye. Now the child has spent 2 years of her life in germ infested daycares and has NEVER caught the eye funk. Apparently the 1st day on vacation is the best time to catch it. NICE! Thank god Sophie's doctor was on call this weekend. I had to drive aroud all of North Myrtle Beach to find an pharmacy but I finally found one and her doctor called in a script. Anyone know how long this thing lasts? This seriously puts a damper on the picture taking. Maybe I should buy her an eye patch and she can sport the pirate look.

What a bummer! An eye patch works since you are near the ocean! haha Be careful not to catch it. I've always thought it was really catchy. Of course that might be because my grandmother followed me around and sprayed every single thing I touched with Lysol when I had pink eye in 4th grade.

Poor babe. Get better soon...

And yes, Sophie makes a lovely pirate!

That stinks! Poor Sophie! It seems like Boo got sand in her eye every single time we went to the beach when we were kids.

Ashley had pink eye back in March, it should be cleared up by the time you get home :)
It probably wont be totally gone, but after a dose or 2 of the medicine it will look 100% better

I hear you...Emma got sick 2 days before we left last year, and guess what happened? Yep, she got better on day #2 of vacation, for Ethan to be hit with the funk that very day. Maybe the worst vacation ever.

The good news is pinkeye goes away pretty quickly! Just keep the cousins far away or they'll keep passing it back and forth.

That is not fun at all! Jonathan has had it a few times and it IS super contagious so watch out for yourself and others. But it does go away quickly so you should be able to get some pics by the end of the week!

Ditto on the contagious part. We have passed it around a million times. We actually have bottles of Vigamox all over the house!! But it does start to look better in a day or two, so you should have plenty of pics toward mid-week. Hope you guys have fun anyway. Catch some sun for me!!

Too bad you didn't bring Sophie's Halloween costume to the beach so she could be a pirate with her eye patch. I hope you and the others don't end up with pink eye, too. Hopefully she'll get over it quickly so she (and you) can enjoy the vacation. I hope Steven made it down safely today. Have a good time!

When I got pink eye a few years ago I seriously thought I was dying! But within 2 days it was gone -- it depends if it is viral or bacterial. If viral the medicine doesn't do squat.

Hope you have fun in spite of this:)

I've had pink eye 1000 times in the past couple of years. It is no fun, but with the drops should clear up in a couple of days. Don't let her rub her "bad" eye and then touch her "good" eye because it is highly contagious!! WASH YOUR HANDS every time you put the drops in or you will end up with it as well. The thing that sucks the most is now that she has got it once, she will catch it very easily- BELIEVE ME!!

Have fun on vacation otherwise!

He-he, she could have worn her Halloween pirate costume from last year with an eye patch and she'll be set! Poor girl. Hope it heals soon!
