Wreckage

This morning started out a little rough. On my way to work Sophie and I were the 3rd car that was involved in a pretty serious accident. There was a car in front of me (she was actually my neighbor) and all of the sudden, a car coming from the other direction, crossed the center line like it was nothing and plowed into the car in front of me. I had to slam on my brakes but I hit the girl in front of me (but not too hard.) They had to use the jaws of life to get both of them out of their cars. The guy that crossed the line was seriously injured and had to be life flighted out. Steven talked to my neighbor a little while ago and thankfully, she's only banged up from the air bag and her knees are sore.
We are fine and my car didn't suffer too much damage,I had slowed down so my airbag didn't deploy. Sophie kept pointing at the lights and saying “they helping?" b/c I always tell her that the police are helping. And she ended up with 3 stuffed animals out of the deal and gave all of the firemen high-fives. Thank GOD Steven was 3 cars behind me so he was able to get to us as soon as it happened. Thank-you everyone who emailed and called checking on Sophie and me. Be safe driving, you never know what could happen.
Here's photo that was on the news today. We were in the white SUV. The other 2 people drove civics and they are DEFINITELY totalled.

Oh my gosh!!! I am so glad that you and Sophie are OK! It would scare the crap out of me to be in an accident with my kids. Frankly, with my driving, it's a miracle I haven't :)

How scary! I'm glad you're ok. We were in an accident last May and I still hate driving by that spot.

Kim,
I'm glad you and Sophie B are okay. Hopefully the others drivers will be too. I'm feeling some empathy for Steven; he probably didn't breathe until he saw that you two were okay. Hugs all around.

Wow, what a close call. Glad to hear you and Sophie are both ok. Must have been scary. Hope the others involved are doing better as well. Your little girl reminds me so much of mine, same nickname and all - Little Bit! Your hubby must have been so nervous getting to you both.
