The Big Book

Nope, not the yellow pages. That would be Curious George's Big Book of Curiosity. It's the new favorite around here and it happens to be the first book that Sophie will look at with us or even by herself for more than 10 minutes! It has over 400 words and it seems as though she likes to go over EVERY SINGLE ONE!

And sad news in my world. I'm back on the wagon. The weight wagon that is. Fun times. My work has started a "Chub Club" (I should be the captain) and we've all pitched in 20 big ones into a pot. In 8 weeks we'll see who has lost the biggest percentage of weight. So I'm back to counting weight watcher points. This time next year I'll probably be doing it again. What a vicious cycle. I swear if I could find a doctor to do some black market gastric bypass I'd be all over it!

You're such a hoot, I can't stand it!!

Anyway, that stool was a gift from Aubree's Grandma and she purchased it at Pottery Barn Kids.

I should start a "chub club" at school. But I think I'd miss eating all the stuff we all bake for the staff room! Guilty: I made the SECOND loaf of bread this week...First I made pumpkin, now I have made zuchini...It's no wonder I keep gaining weight. *sigh*

I need to be on some kind of "Chub Club" - sitting in front of my computer isn't helping either. Anyway, best of luck with it - you are lucky to have coworkers that will give you motivation!

A chub club wouldn't work here b/c there are only 4 of us...and we are right across the street from First Watch! But we did have a good idea - We do REALLY good Mon -Thurs..Lean Cuisine and such..and on Friday we either all bring something relatively healthy for a 'group lunch' or we order out. Not really strict, but it gives us motivation to do good during the week if we know we can enjoy Friday. Just an idea!!

Oh, and the boys love that same book. And it keeps them busy for quite some time too!

Good luck with the weight loss.. it's such a tough battle that so few ever win. Hope you can find a weight that makes you happy though!!

Chub Club--that is hysterical!

Curious George is a FAVORITE in our house, "monkey George" is what Jonathan calls him. The movie with Will Ferrell and Drew Barrymore is the first movie he's watched all the way through. We've read so many Curious George books that he can recite almost the whole first page (they all start the same way!)

The guys at my ex's office did a "chub club" thing every year, and every year they were still a bunch of fat asses at the end! My sister, Boo, eats more sugar- and fat-filled foods than anyone I know, and she's a rail. I've decided that God just wants me to have a little extra something, and that's the way it is. I've come to peace with it. And now I'm going to go have a big piece of that fabulous caramel cake Boo made me for my birthday.
