C is for Cookies

And chaos but really who's counting. Actually it went better than I expected but I'm thinking that next year will be a better age for baking cookies. And an even better idea is for the cooking baking to go down in GiGi's kitchen.

This cookie making season Sophie's peanut butter allergy really hit home. Almost 99% of the traditional cookies that we make every year has some type of nut in it or peanut butter itself. Like my favorite chocolate covered peanut butter balls, yum-o. Or the old standard peanut butter cookies with the Hershey's kiss in the middle. Looks like we are going to have to come up with some new recipes and start some new traditions.

Watch'em bake!

Yum, cookie dough. Salmonella contamination is just one of the risks in life that sometimes is worth taking.

Sophie really looks like she takes her cookie baking seriously. Don't worry, we'll make sure that we make plently of cookies that Sophie can eat.

I posted a super easy sugar cookie recipe on my blog today that is nut safe and very Christmassy! I love both the ones you mentioned too, that would be hard!

OMG!!! I didn't realize that Little Bit will never get to experience the sheer joy of biting into that creamy PB covered with delicious chocolate. I will grieve for her every time I bite into one...which will be alot of grieving! You know that between us we can find some great cookie recipes for Little Bit. Her desserts will not be limited!
Merry Christmas
