Got Milk?
I made a huge mistake. But first let me say that I hate milk, my daughter hates milk, and my husband is not one to pour a big glass of milk. In our family milk is an ingredient or used on cereal. However, kids are suppose to drink milk. So they say. Well in an effort to get Little Bit to down some moo juice I decided to try and kick it up a notch with some Quik (because pure liquid sugar makes anything taste great and peditricians definitely recommended it).Let me also say that from age 2-5 I would not go anywhere without my cup and can of chocolate Quik. I'd even pack the stuff in my suitcase when I'd spend the night with my grandparents or aunt.
So back to the mistake I made. I made the mistake of letting Sophie assist in the whole flavoring of the milk process. So everyday when we come home she wants to sit on the bar, help squeeze in the pink or chocolate syrup and the worse part, STIR! Now the stirring was not big deal at first because she'd allow me to help. Now she shoves my hand away and shouts "ME". And then of course you have to lick the spoon. The upside, she now gulps the stuff like it's going out of style.

LOL A spoonful of sugar...
When are you going to figure it out, Kim? Sophie is in charge here. She doesn't need your help stirring; she just needs you to pour the milk. (And before long, she'll want to do that, too!)
I hate milk to! Shawn loves it though so hopefully Ashley will take after him.
And come on Kim, it isn't the same if you don't make a mess in the process of making the chocolate milk : )
I suppose it's better than no milk at all?? And of course she would have to stir it herself... Gotta love the independence at this age!
Reminds me of how my niece asks for "pink milk" when she wants the strawberry kind :)
(GREAT picture as always)
Yes, Sophie is definitely your daughter! Evan is the choc milk junkie in our house...and it HAS to be in a sippy, which is a plus cause you can just shake it to mix it. And yes, you really need to accept the fact that Sophie is in charge of your house now. It only gets worse as they get older.

Hahaha!! I can't stand the white stuff either, but the chocolate stuff is another story. Gotta love it!
That is an adorable picture! It should be an ad for Quik!
I am so glad to see that other people do this! I went on Cafemom and asked if anyone around Bella's age gave their kids chocolate milk and they responded like i was crazy to even consider it! Now I know I love some chocolate milk- so why not introduce it to my girl? But I am sorry to say that they made me nervous and I never gave it to her yet. On tomorrow's menu - CHOCOALTE MILK!!!!! Thanks for being a "normal" mom and sharing!
That's hysterical! Love the picture and the story as we've had the same experience with Jonathan! I need to try Quik too because I tried Ovaltine and it was a complete bust.
