Movin' on Up

Tonight we said bye bye to the highchair and hello to the big person table! The highchair has been some what of an issue lately. Actually, it comes down to the fact that I'm tired of scrubbing dried on, nasty, disgusting, old food off the wall. Sitting at the big table is a super big deal. You aren't allowed to dump over your plate, throw food to the dog, or launch peas across the room. It's serious people. Breaking any of of these rules results in the immediate return to the highchair. And trust me, the result ain't pretty when that happens. Wow, it won't be long until we are saying bye bye to all of the baby things. Great, now I've went and made myself all teary eyed!

Blurry hands, but you can see how thrilled she is with her new seat! Or that could be excitement from the nutritious meal of a hot dog and peas placed in front of her. We cook it up gourmet style up in here!

And thank you Missy for the booster seat!

Wow, what a big girl Little Bit is becoming. That dinner looks like a bit hit with her.

What a smart mommy to strip her down to a bib! From big girl chair to tub -- a smashingly brilliant plan! And I love the blurry hands! I imagine she was rubbing them together as if to say, "Mmmmm...peas! Bring those babies over here!"

I am having the same issues with our high chair. I don't even know why we have it actually. Neither of my kids want to sit in it and when they do it gets all gross and then Ava just wants to stand up in the chair.

I just love her expression! I wish my kids would get that look when I serve them dinner.

look at that big girl! the high chair is a pain to clean, plus those things are pretty big, i am sure you will be glad to get it out of the kitchen and packed away!

Ok, so where are her clothes?? :)

We're in boosters or just chairs now and I really need to sell the highchairs. I think it's been 6 months since they were used. SOOO much easier at restaurants too!

And hey, hot dogs are a nutritious meal!

HOORAY FOR SOPHIE!!!
You can mark one more milestone off the list. I never used high chairs for very long. As soon as they could sit up well enough I went to the boosters that just hooked to the regular chairs.High chairs take up way too much room.
Congrats on the promotion!

Wow! A big girl seat! That's awesome. What brand is it? The one we have is so small that Eleanor can't see the table, so we definitely couldn't use it anytime soon!

Hot dogs and peas TOTALLY count as a nutritious meal! We've done it on numerous occasions at our house!

We've been in the booster or a miniature folding chair/card table combo for a while now and it's SO much easier than the high chair. I am disgusted to this day of all the nastiness I found that last time I took the high chair apart and cleaned it before storing it...
