It's "Smurfy"
No need to adjust your monitor, you aren't watching an episode of VH1's "I Love 1984" although you could be because that's the year that this here belt came from. And it's totally awesome because it was mine!! Yep, for some unknown reason my mother had this smurfy, elastic, rainbow hued, magnetic buckle, belt stashed away for a rainy day. She came across it the other day, big score! It's 24 years old!! Does that make it an antique? I personally like how this belt depicts "Greedy Smurf" carrying a gigantic cake. Lord if that doesn't say me, I don't know what does! And I think Little Bit is just cool enough to pull off the Smurf belt.
I mean look at this face. How much cooler can you get?

I am so jealous that I am literally turning green. Seriously. You better keep an eye on that belt. Where do you live? It is in the area, right? Andrea will tell me :)
I had that belt!!! I think mine had Smurfette though. I'm sure my mom sold it in a garage sale. How fun!!
NUH-UH! I had that belt, too!!! Loved it! Wore it till the Smurf sticker on the buckle fell off! I also had the Smurf board game, a little Smurf clay mold set, Smurf Shrinky-Dinks, the Smurf album (vinyl, of course), and the Smurf drinking glasses from either Hardee's or Pizza Hut.
Did you happen to see Papa Smurf on the Today show this morning?
I had that belt to! She looks smurfy in it!
I had it too! I am so jealous!!
That is so great. I had a Strawberry Shortcake one! That is fantasitic that Sophie can wear it
Those were the Good Ole' Days! Smurfs, Rainbow Brite, Strawberry Shortcake. It doesn't get much better!! LOL

I had one too!
Holy Crap, I haven't seen that in a long time!! I LOVE it! And I too am jealous your mom kept it for her granddaughter! I was all about smurfs back then.
Love the belt!!!! I had one just like it too. It makes me think of our "Smurf Naming contest" when we lived in the sorority house...not surprising, I think you won.
I'm not sure what made me laugh more - the belt, or Beth's comment about a Smurf Naming game. I'd have rocked that one. I wish it was a Gargamel belt!
Oh, I LOVE it!!! I'm so jealous of Sophie's retro-belt!!
They just don't make cartoons like that anymore do they? I mean, Strawberry Shortcake is all trendy now. WTH?
That belt is awesome!!! That's so cool your mom saved it! And by the way, I love the Smurfs! That's partly how I learned to speak English! Seriously, it's true!
And that picture of Sophie is just hilarious!!
I don't know you but your daughter is adorable :) I bet you are proud!
